email saga continues June 15, 2009

Dear BP,

I wrote you this email a few weeks ago and have still not heard back
from you. Attached you will find a photo showing trash at one of your
stores that has not been picked up in months despite my repeated
requests for you to pick up your lot AND if you will look closely you
will notice that there is a whole new pile of trash on top of the old
pile of trash. The reason that there is a new pile of trash on top of
the old pile of trash is that when you leave trash on your property then
people assume that you don't care. It's called the broken windows
theory and you can read more about it here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fixing_Broken_Windows

It would be really great if your company started picking up the trash
that is lying all over your property. I really don't have very high
expectations of your company and your property. It would just be nice
if you kept this store to the same standards as the rest of your stores
and just did the simple neighborly thing by picking up your trash.
tr
thanks,

Here are two places to report trashy areas to the city of Seattle:
DPD Complaint page http://web1.seattle.gov/dpd/complaintform/

And fire hazard complaints: Contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at 206-386-1450 during business hours or forward a detailed e-mail message to diane.hansen@seattle.gov

thanks CTC, I've actually turned these guys over to the DPD many times before. It all just seems to end in the same problem, nobody picks up the trash and nothing happens. I will keep trying along with a variety of other plans.
